CommentsDo you happen to know of any internet options for viewing the game. Here in North Carolina, Univision is showing Brazil vs. Mexico. Posted by Grant June 27, 2007 9:46 AM I'm not really sure where to go online to see the games. I know that GolTV is showing the games. It's a pay per view channel; one of my colleagues at Dickinson (Pennsylvania) has it, so it might be available in North Carolina. Posted by mcentellas June 28, 2007 8:00 PM For the full schedule try soccertv, and I also found this link from univision's website. I don't know if it really works, but it might be worth a try. Posted by eddie June 29, 2007 5:48 PM Miguel: Have you seen any of the North Korean style tributes to Hugo, spelling out his name with cards? There are also 50 foot banners of him in the stadiums/stadia? Have you ever noticed that Evo always walks behind Chavez? Posted by galloglass June 30, 2007 12:00 PM Galloglass: That doesn't surprise me. Authoritarian (and non-authoritarian) regimes have used sporting events for propaganda purposes throughout history. Bolivian papers were reporting that 70% of the tickets weren't available for purchose (they were doled out by the regime), in large part, of course, to prevent any anti-regime protests at the events.
