Back in town

It’s been a long trip. And it’s good to be back home. But before the unpacking, it’s time to catch up w/ some Copa América action. I just called to activate my sports package subscription (for GolTV), where I just saw USA tie Paraguay 1-1. Here’s hoping for victory.

In the next few days I’ll be re-organizing & preparing for my summer class—as well as writing/editing my LASA paper. It was a brief trip, and mostly meant for “vacation,” but many of the books I found while scouring the bookstores, a few conversations w/ choice people, and the usual “soaking & poking” of being “in field” have sharpened some ideas I’ve had floating around for a few months.

But half time’s over. It’s time for more Copa América.

PS. I’ve learned that this site doesn’t look quite right on Internet Exploder. Sorry (seems Windows don’t like my CSS; solution: buy a Mac!); I’ll see what I can do about that.
