I’m Miguel Centellas, a political science professor at Mount St. Mary’s University. Because of academic interests, I post frequently on Bolivian politics. I also occasionally discuss interesting books, pop culture, and daily life in Baltimore.
After 36+ hrs of labor, followed by a C-section, little Javier Enrique Centellas was finally born at 9:20pm. Weighing in at 9 lbs, 6 oz (and nearly 22 inches long!). There’s a few (of the many, many) pictures up on my Flickr. Unfortunately, the hospital doesn’t have WiFi—so some of you will have to wait for updates & new pictures. And w/ that, I’m back out to the hospital. Ciao!
of course, you know we'll say he's the cutest baby we've seen in a long time - since our last grandchild!. but he looks so healthy, chunky and so much like Kate we think. We are so happy for you and pleased that he finally decided to make his appearance. great snapshots. can't wait to hold him, but from the looks of his weight, I'd better start doing to weight training for my arms for our trip to PA

Miguel and K8, Sybille and I want to congratulate you for your new born. Job well done!
As Bernard Shaw says:
Life is a flame that is always burning itself out, but it catches fire again every time a child is born.
You have just lit up another life that gives life itself hope.
