It’s been some time since my last update. As you can imagine, things are very busy here. Spring break wasn’t much of a break at all, confronting mounds of grading, some writing lose ends (still loose, btw), putting together some special conference panels, and some last-minute job interview preps. And now Easter is upon us.
K8 got me a camcorder as an early birthday present. So we’ll be sure to take some footage of Javi for distant relatives. His first Easter will be in Wilmington, w/ four generations of McGurns. Then, in two weeks, he flies to Chicago (where I attend MPSA conference).
Winter is still slowly unwinding. Even Carlisle had some snow last night. It’ll melt by the afternoon, I’m sure. But snow this far south in late March seems odd. Even the 5-feet high mounds I saw in Maine a few days ago seemed out of place. We’re all dreaming of summer, and hoping to know where that new apartment will be.
