Six-month checkup

Little Javi got back from his six-month checkup today w/ a clean bill of health. And also w/ permission to eat pretty much anything he wants. Finger foods? Yes. Cheese? Yes. Cheerios? Not quite yet. Meat? Yes!

Now I’m wondering what Javi’s first piece of meat should be. He’s allowed to have chunks (fist size) that he can gnaw on. Should it be steak? Lamb? Pork? I’m leaning towards a nice strip of sirloin steak (which is on our diner menu for Thursday).

Here’s some other Javi updates: He can crawl at incredibly frightening speeds. His new favorite thing is the metal spring-coil door stopper, which bounces w/ a joyfully entertaining twaaanggg. His crib is now dropped, turning into a semi day-bed. He’s getting pretty good at “walking” if held upright (he shuffles his feet appropriately). He can sit upright in a shopping cart. And he’s learning how to play catch w/ his papi. Not bad for six months.

ah...we had so little time with him, should we come again.....He is so entertaining at that age, I'm sure! I miss that!

Not bad for six months... .

Sounds like pretty soon he will be playing futbol with his papi too. Glad to hear he's doing well. He's so cute.

So did Javi get his first steak?
