Lots of updates to come tomorrow, as I slowly get back into gear from the holiday break. First priority, of course: updates w/ pictures of Javi’s first Christmas & birthday in Chicago. Next, Bolivian politics—particularly as the constitutional referendum is now just around the corner.

Today’s La Razón, however, has an interesting report suggesting possible electoral fraud in the August recall referendum. I’ll look at that closely for tomorrow.

Are you getting the graphics linked to that La Razón story (and related "7 provincias y 2 municipios cambiaron sus preferencias")? I cannot access in Firefow or Explorer.

I can't access the image either (I'm using Safari, and usually don't have problems). But I'll look at it more closely tomorrow, when I have more time. Overall, though, I'd say things look fishy, but not so fishy. For example, voter swings (even rapid ones) are not uncommon. Sure, Evo got more votes in the Media Luna. But so did the opposition prefects. I'm not yet convinced that this is a smoking gun, though today's news about changes in voter registration numbers across departments makes me more skeptical ...
