Bolivia updates (at Red Bolivia)

If you’re looking to get your Bolivia news & updates fix, check out Red Bolivia. I’ve only glanced at it quickly, but so far it looks like it contains a great deal of information about Bolivia & global issues from a “Bolivian perspective.”

I’m busy most of the next few weeks preparing for three conferences (the first is this weekend), on top of my teaching/committee responsibilities, so I might not get around to posting much about Bolivia on as regular a basis as I would like. But one of the things I’m working on (along w/ MABB) is an analysis of voting trends in Santa Cruz, Tarija, and Chuquisaca from 2004 to the present (we’ll present it at the MPSA). We’re looking at municipal-level voting patterns, looking for shifts over time, controlling for socioeconomic & demographic variables (from the 2001 census, plus other reliable sources). Municipal-level data for the constitutional referendum are still not publicly available from the CNE, but hopefully we’ll get those in time to toss them into the mix.
