Goodbye, Technorati

I’ve decided to say goodbye to Technorati, which seems to have stopped working properly about a year ago. Since it seems to only randomly index anything, it’s become the last place I look for things. So I’m giving IceRocket a chance, instead. You should also check out Newsvine.

IE fix

Internet Exploder doesn’t handle layered CSS very well. I’ve fixed the site now so it should work better w/ IE. Let me know if it (still) looks odd. If you’re forced to use Windoze, I recommend Firefox (it’s standards compliant & faster).


URL updates

I just changed the archive path URLs for this blog. My apologies, but it was a necessary evil (better now than much later). Please not that all previous links no long work, unless modified to fit this format:

http://www.mcentellas.com/archives/...

Basically, just insert .../archives/... into the URL. I have set up an automatic re-direct that should work for all pages; so this is just in case.

Pronto* Allora

The blog site redesign is finished, terminado, finito. So now the category & month archives look like they’re supposed to. I’ve also retro-posted an FAQ (frequently asked questions) page.

I’ve also added an Amazon bookstore, where I’ll (as time allows) add recommended/interesting books in political science, Latin American politics, and related subjects. I think I get a penny everytime someone buys a book.


Layout & design issues

Just a reminder: this site is still very much under construction. I’m making progress on the layout, but category & monthly archive templates are still unfinished. In the meantime, I’ve added a ClustrMaps widget, which should begin recording visitor stats soon.
